Chris Bentlage
Director, Recipient Services Email
Christopher was born in Grove
City Pennsylvania to Frans and Debi Bentlage. In a selfless move
that he will tell you was a major contributing factor to his
personal and professional success; his mother, a registered nurse,
left her position to stay home with him as a child. His father, a
Dutch immigrant, found success in the corporate world of safety and
environmental health.

This success resulted in a number of moves when
Christopher was young. From Pennsylvania to Wisconsin, to New York
to Ohio, Christopher held 18 different residences during the first
23 years of his life. Although difficult, these moves were
responsible for his ability to communicate effectively and make
friends.
After graduating from Sidney High School,
Christopher moved on to Bowling Green State University to study
economics and philosophy. At BGSU Christopher absorbed himself in
college life, joining The Kappa Sigma Fraternity, serving on the
Interfraternity Council and the Interfraternal Judicial Board as
well as serving as the Director of Special Promotions for the
campus' Children's Miracle Network Dance Marathon.
Christopher started his professional career as an Investment
Broker with A.G. Edwards & Sons where he attended the College
for Financial Planning, earning his Accredited Asset Management
Specialist designation. He then served as a Portfolio Manager and Investment Underwriter for P/R Mortgage & Investment Corporation prior to beginning his current position as Associate Vice President of Underwriting for Paragon Mortgage Corporation in Phoenix, Arizona.
Christopher now lives in Anderson, Indiana with his wife of nine years, Jordan, their cats, Oscar & Ember and their Australian Cattle Dog Bexleigh Mae. In his spare time, Christopher is an avid SCUBA diver and plays basketball with the RHI Wheelchair Pacers. He also enjoys philosophy and astronomy and stays active as an alumnus of The Kappa Sigma Fraternity.
"After awakening from my nearly month long coma, it was virtually impossible for me to even fathom getting back to a "normal" life. Between the stringent therapy and the constant examinations, I had little time to focus on anything else. Luckily I didn't have to. My friends had formed the BrotherBentlage Fund, creating a website to keep those close to me abreast of my recovery, holding fundraisers to help me purchase many of the adaptive technologies that I wanted and producing an outpouring of support that kept me motivated and encouraged. Once my need dissolved, Greg and I knew that these services would be just as helpful to others in similar situations. We presented the idea and asked our old friend Doug to join us and ThreeSixtyFive Foundation became a reality"
